Stop Motion Project

For this project everyone was put into groups and then each group got to choose what they wanted their stop motion video to be about. My group chose to have our story about two people getting into a fight with paper airplanes and shurikens. First we started out making the storyboard for the whole fight and setting up the scene. After we got our storyboard done we started to find out where to take our pictures and what way we wanted to film them. Finally we got to filming and setting up all the shots so that our video would look good.

For the beginning of the video we had Laura walk in from a door and sit down at a desk while i am sitting on the couch so that we could set up the start of the battle. Then we had a blue piece of paper fall off of a notebook and turn into a paper airplane and fly up and hit Laura. This started the conflict between both characters. After this Laura makes a paper shuriken and throws it me. The shuriken lands next to me on the notebook and then i notice it and start to make three paper shurikens so that I can throw them back at her. After i make the shurikens i turn and throw them at Laura and they land on the chair and table. After this Laura and I both make paper airplanes and throw them at each other. This leads to both of us making the origami-ha and throwing the big ball of paper at each other. Finally you can see Laura and I "dead" laying on the ground.

This project took us a while to make because it involved taking a lot of pictures and making sure that the position of everything was correct. We used a green screen or some parts so we had to get rid of the green screen and then make sure that those parts look correct in the video. Then we took all of the images and put them in after effects and made sure that the timing and placement was all in the correct spot. After that we found sounds to go along with the video and added those to the project. Finally we got all of the effects into place and made some final touches to make the project look good.
